Blanketed, generic, mass tariffs have never once improved the economy. Ever. At all. Not even a little bit. High IQ people learn from history. Dumb people are doomed to repeat it.
Dumb people in positions of power make everyone else repeat it, too.
Obviously, this is why trump loves the poorly educated. He'd be in jail right now without these dim bulb motherfuckers who believe he knows what he's doing.

Lol. A puff piece with no citations as to where the information is coming from. That's not history. That's propaganda.

It’s what happened. Its history. Refute it.

He doesn't have to. The smarter plan of attack would be to look at the difference in spending and the difference in culture and consumer spending.
The markets do. They know Trump's pushing twaddle and chaos.

Trump ‘Misjudged’ China on Trade War
President Donald Trump misjudged Beijing by calculating that it would cave into economic pressure, leaving the US unprepared to handle the current tariff standoff, according to an adviser to China’s Foreign Ministry.
“The mainstream narrative within the Trump team is that because the Chinese economy is bad, if the US plays the tariff card, then China will have no choice but to surrender,” said Wu Xinbo, director at Fudan University’s Center for American Studies in Shanghai, who last year led a group of experts in the ministry to meet politicians and business executives in the US.
“But surprisingly to them China didn’t collapse and surrender,” Wu said during a panel discussion in Shanghai on Friday. “The US side misjudged the situation and also is not well-prepared for the confrontation with China.”

One good thing about the markets: they're not buying any of the bullshit that trump's voters are.
Numbers don't lie. trump does.

Call me back when they have all those tariff deals done.
Until then... we've still got chaos and market volatility and piles and piles of people souring on Tariffman's ridiculous tariff plan

Welp, we just saw the first GDP contraction in years.
Thanks Tariffman. This is YOUR fault and the markets and now many, many Americans understand that
